Hands in the Air - Berlin
Packed like sardines in a sold out club that has mediocre sound. It's hot... like sauna hot. The rain? It's coming from inside this low ceiling-ed building and is provided by the perspiration of the crowd. I'd dance like there was no one watching, but there's no room to move anyways. We all just sort of shuffle in place.
But the music is good, and that's about all you can ask for.
The location is Berlin, Germany. The music is by UK producer/DJ "Bonobo" and his live band. The live band is a bit of a thing for artists these past few years who are known mostly as electronic musicians and are looking to bring a live experience to the stage. It works though.
The girl next to me closes her eyes and sways her head and body to the rhythm of the music. The guy in front of me blocks the view of the stage. Groups carry beers through the noticeably irritated crowd who are being squished along the way, holding them high above their heads so to not spill them all over.
Without the ability to insert the thumping beat into this post, I bring you the view I had of the experience. The view of a short guy with a camera in dark room full of people.

When it comes to experiencing live music, a lot of it is visual for me. I like to see what's going on, how the music is created. I'm a very "how stuff works" kind of person.
